Are these screencasts safe for work?

Definitely! They are all G-rated and are highly recommended for friends, family, co-workers, bosses, and schoolmates.

Can I subscribe for a discount?

The Unlimited provides a single developer with access to all PeepCode content for a year. It’s our best deal!

Five and ten packs are also available.

We also offer discounts if you would like a company or group license. Each person will receive their own login to PeepCode and can redeem credits on episodes of their choice.

Contact us at peepcode@topfunky.com for a quote. Please mention the number of people you want to purchase for, and how many screencast credits should be given to each.

Companies will receive an invoice and can pay online or by check.

Can I purchase any other way?

You can pay via your choice of Google Checkout or PayPal.

Is there a suggested sequence to view the screencasts?

A suggested viewing sequence has been published.

Are captions available?

The following screencasts include a caption track. Others will be captioned in the future. If you use this feature or would like to see a specific screencast with captions, let us know (peepcode@topfunky.com).

How often are screencasts published?

Approximately twice a month.

Are the files tarnished with evil DRM?

No. They are regular Quicktime files. We trust you to use them wisely and encourage others to buy their own copy if you think they would benefit from the screencasts also.

Do I get an upgrade when new screencasts are released?

Bugfixes to existing screencasts you’ve purchased are provided without an extra charge.

Unfortunately, this offer doesn’t include:

• New releases of a screencast translated into different languages
• Completely revised screencasts for new versions of software

Why aren’t they free?

Writing, recording, and producing a PeepCode screencast takes 30-40 hours of work. A portion of the profits is donated to noble causes like the Rubinius Project.

Do you have an affiliate program?

We hope to put one into place but don’t have a release date. You’ll be able to earn free PeepCode screencasts by referring people to the site.

What software do you use?

• Snapz Pro X for screen capture.
• Final Cut Studio for video editing and voiceovers.
• OmniGraffle for diagrams and titles.
• Other home-grown tools to wire it all together.

Screencasts use the Bitstream Vera Sans Mono which is free to download.

Our PDF minibooks use typefaces from Process Type Foundry. They are generated with a custom Ruby-based system. Final layout and PDF export is done with Adobe InDesign.
